Mayors Cup Soccer Tournament | |

Each year during the President's Day long weekend in
February, the Las Vegas Rotary Club hosts a team of
16-18 boys from Germany for the Mayors Cup Soccer
Tournament. The team stays with host families who
provide meals, transportation and social activities
throughout the week. Aside from the tournament
itself, the boys enjoy a week of cultural exchange
including site seeing, shopping, host dinners and a
taste of American living. This is a life time
opportunity for the boys that would not be possible
without the generosity of local Rotarians. One thing
Rotarians have learned through this program is that
boys will be boys, regardless where they are from.
We enjoy seeing they are very much the same as our
own children. They just speak a different language.
It is an excellent youth program enjoyed by all.
