About The Las Vegas Rotary Club

Our club is a part of the worldwide
fellowship of Rotary International. This international
service organization has a membership of more than 1.2 million
members, in 168 countries, with more than 33,000 clubs . (more about the international character of Rotary)
Las Vegas Rotary has a history of more than 80-years
of service in the Southern Nevada area. Rotary’s high
ideals of friendship, fellowship, international
understanding, and service are applied in personal,
business, and community life by the over 180 members of our
Las Vegas Rotary Club.
LAS VEGAS ROTARY HISTORY
Las Vegas Rotary Founded April 5, 1923.
First Meeting at Chocolate Shop at 203 Fremont Club, next
met at the Beanery in Union Pacific Station. Moved to Kiva
Club in basement of the Apache Station Hotel.
El Rancho Vegas provided first strip location in 1941.
- 1944 moved to Last Frontier
- 1957 moved to Tropicana Hotel
- 1974 moved to Landmark
- 198? moved to Holiday (Harrah’s)
- 1995 moved to Desert Inn
- 2000 moved to Lawry’s
Original Las Vegas Club had 17 members. Current membership is 180 active members.
