What Does International Mean for Rotary?
From a meeting of four friends in 1905, Rotary International has grown as the first international
service organization to a membership of 1.2 million
members, in 165 countries, with more than 30,000 clubs in 530
districts.
Of course, it is easy to talk about international character without appreciating the distribution of membership. Fortunately, the Centennial issue of the Rotarian does provide statistics of Rotary membership by world region.
