DESCRIPTION:Sarah Robinson is the Director of Development of ShelterBox USA\, Rotary International’s project partner in disaster relief. She has a love for service and finds ways to help others\, as a community volunteer and through her non-profit career. Sarah is on the boards of The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History and the Rotary Club of Albuquerque Rio Grande\, where she is immediate past president and a member of the Paul Harris Society. She worked for the American Cancer Society for 12 years and was a Vice President there\, prior to joining the ShelterBox team. Sarah joins us today from her home in Albuquerque\, NM. She is here today to share with us about the incredible impact ShelterBox is having for families displaced around the globe.

DESCRIPTION:Mitch Fox managed all external and internal communications for the City of North Las Vegas\, was Nevada State Director for the Porter Group\, a Washington D.C. based lobbying firm and is currently President and CEO of the Nevada Broadcasters Association. \nBorn in San Francisco and a graduate of U.C.L.A.\, Mitch Fox began his broadcasting career at KABC-TV in Los Angeles\, where he worked as a student intern and later\, in a paid position\, as an apprentice cameraman. His first on-air position was with KTNV-TV Channel 13 in Las Vegas \nHe produced an award-winning documentary series called “Real to Reel” and won an Emmy nomination. He received the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Award for Communications and was asked to be the commencement speaker at the graduation ceremonies of the University of Phoenix. \n  \nMitch has been a freelance writer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal\, the Las Vegas Sun\, Newsweek and Nevada Magazine. He was host/producer of “Nevada Week in Review\,” one of the community’s most watched public affairs talk shows. He has covered multiple sessions of the Nevada State Legislature for Nevada PBS stations. \nHe has moderated numerous candidates’ debates\, some of which aired nationally on C-SPAN. In 2010 Mr. Fox was asked by the Nevada Broadcasters Association to be the moderator of the only debate between U.S. Senator Harry Reid and Sharron Angle. He has provided news reports and appeared on the PBS NewsHour program. \nHe collaborated with NBC and Fox affiliates to produce prime-time\, election coverage. He has partnered with such media groups as KNPR\, El Mundo\, El Tiempo Libre\, Univision\, Power 88 KCEP-FM\, KRLV 1340am and KNEWS Radio. \nDuring his tenure at Vegas PBS\, Mr. Fox supervised a staff of 27 with oversight of all studio and field production projects\, including a non-salaried budget of nearly $1.4 million dollars. He later became director of programming with oversight of traffic operations and all local program origination. \nFor more than 25 years he worked with the Clark County School District to develop exciting and dynamic distance learning programs for K-12 students. \nHe also conducted a news media training seminar for the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He has hosted “State of Nevada” for KNPR-FM and taught news media interviewing at UNLV’s Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies. \nMr. Fox was director of communications for the City of North Las Vegas and managed all external and internal communications including special events\, media and public relations\, internet and social media communications\, the graphic art department and all video production\, as well as advising the City Council and staff on public policy issues. \nDuring his tenure\, Mr. Fox brought City Council meetings to cable TV\, supervised the redesign of the city’s web site\, doubled the City’s social media traffic\, created a City Podcast\, launched an e-newsletter for Council members\, created videos for the City’s YouTube channel and strengthened relations between the City of North Las Vegas and the media. \nMr. Fox was Nevada State Director for Porter Group\, a Washington D.C. lobbying firm. Mr. Fox managed client relations\, developed advocacy strategies and regularly engaged with state lawmakers and members of Congress. \nMr. Fox is currently President and CEO of the Nevada Broadcasters Association\, a trade organization that advocates on behalf of Nevada’s radio and television stations. \nMr. Fox was a board member of the Southern Nevada American Red Cross and serves on the Board of Directors of the Silver State Schools Credit Union and the Advisory Board of Nevada’s Western Governors University.

SUMMARY:Michael A. Harris - Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) for the Homeland Security Investigations
DESCRIPTION:Michael Harris is the Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) for the U.S. Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE)\, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Las Vegas Field Office. As the highest ranking special agent in Las Vegas\, he has a vast amount of experience coordinating and managing large special events. ASAC Harris has been appointed by the Secretary of Homeland Security as a Deputy Federal Coordinator for the SEAR 1 & 2 events such as the New Year’s Eve Las Vegas and Consumer Electronic Shows. ASAC Harris’s current assignment has provided him with a vast amount of knowledge coordinating\, collaborating\, and liaising with federal\, state\, local law enforcement agencies as the highest levels. On a daily occurrence\, ASAC Harris coordinates with law enforcement officials\, as well as hotel and casino security professionals to ensure the public safety of more than 46 million annual visitors that travel to Las Vegas\, in addition to the 2.1 million citizens that live and work in southern Nevada. His tenure as the ASAC in the city known as the entertainment capital of the world\, has provided him the opportunities to build and maintain a network of law enforcement\, civilian contacts\, and city officials within the community to gather information and intelligence that specifically connects to the DHS missions of border security\, national security and public safety. \nASAC Harris has held various management and leadership positions as a Special Agent with the titles of Supervisory Special Agent\, Section Chief\, Unit Chief\, and ASAC. He has more than 18 years of management experience as a criminal investigator in addition to his military leadership experience. \nMr. Harris began his law enforcement career with the U.S. Air Force\, Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). During his time with AFOSI\, he conducted a wide array of investigations involving deaths\, narcotics\, commercial fraud\, and anti-terrorism. In 1993\, Mr. Harris was selected as AFOSI Special Agent of the Year. Following this time with AFOSI\, Mr. Harris served as a Special Agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement conducting criminal investigations and working undercover assignments.\nASAC Harris was a mid-level manager at ICE HQ from 2008 – 2011 where he had oversight of the Management Oversight Unit and coordinated all outside audits from DHS-OIG. In addition\, he was responsible for handling Management Inquiries and Fact Finders to investigate minor disciplinary issues.\nMr. Harris has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy State University and he is a graduate of Rancho High School\, Las Vegas. \n
