DESCRIPTION:Tim Keener brings more than three decades of experience in the development\, operations\, and management of major sports and special events. \nA graduate of West Virginia University with degrees in Business Administration and Sports Administration\, Tim began his career in Charlotte\, working with Raycom Sports\, GNI Sport\, and ESPN Regional Television. At ESPN\, he oversaw event operations and budgeting for collegiate basketball\, football\, and golf events\, including the Las Vegas Showdown where he first collaborated with UNLV and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. \nIn 2003\, Tim joined Las Vegas Events\, where for over 20 years he has managed event operations\, ticketing\, sponsorship fulfillment\, and game-day execution for many of the city’s signature events. His portfolio includes the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo\, Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas\, FEI World Cup Finals\, SCORE Off-Road Racing\, USA Basketball exhibitions\, and NCAA Championships. \nTim has directed six FEI World Cup Finals\, coordinated all aspects of America’s Party Fireworks Show\, and oversees the NCAA Championship bid process\, including the upcoming 2026 NCAA Frozen Four. \nIn 2023\, Tim was named President of Las Vegas Events\, where he continues to lead the organization’s mission to strengthen Las Vegas’ position as the world’s premier destination for special events.

A longtime Southern Nevada resident and CCSD educator\, Superintendent Ebert has dedicated her career to ensuring that every student—no matter their background or zip code—has the opportunity to succeed in school and life. \nAs Superintendent of CCSD—the fifth-largest school district in the nation—Ebert brings deep experience and a strong track record of improving educational outcomes across Nevada. She approaches her role with a clear focus on expanding college and career readiness opportunities\, advancing innovation and equity in classrooms\, and fostering a culture where every employee feels valued and every student has the support they need to thrive. \nBefore being selected as Superintendent in 2025\, Ebert served as Nevada’s Superintendent of Public Instruction\, overseeing the academic progress of nearly 500\,000 students across the state’s 17 school districts. Under her leadership\, Nevada transformed its 54-year-old education funding formula into a more equitable\, student-focused model—the Pupil-Centered Funding Plan. Her tenure also saw bold investments in teacher recruitment and retention\, as well as expanded access to career and technical education. She positioned Nevada as a national leader in computer science education\, ensuring that more than 95% of high school students had access to foundational coursework that prepares them for the future. \nSuperintendent Ebert’s impact extends beyond policy. She’s known for her collaborative approach\, unwavering belief in the power of public education\, and commitment to listening to students\, families\, and educators. During the COVID-19 pandemic\, she led the statewide effort to ensure every student had the technology and connectivity needed to continue learning—work that earned Nevada national recognition. \nA lifelong learner\, Ebert holds a Master of Education in Instructional and Curricular Studies from the University of Nevada\, Las Vegas\, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from California State University\, Fresno. She has been honored nationally for her educational leadership\, including the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Impact Award\, the National Community Builder Award\, the UNLV College of Education Alumna of the Year\, and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching.
