Mr. Kohl’s practice is concentrated in commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation beginning with the initial demand through trial and appeal. He has handled a wide variety of cases including: attorney malpractice, aviation, banking, breach of contract, collections, class action suits, construction, gaming (Indian), employment agreements, escrow duties, franchise agreements, fraud, fraudulent transfers, guarantees, incorporation issues, injunctive relief, leases (commercial and residential), mechanic’s liens, real estate, patent infringement, replevin, restrictive covenants, security agreements, shareholder derivative suits, taxpayer created redevelopment districts, trademark enforcement, unlawful detainer and writs of mandamus and prohibition.

Mr. Kohl’s peers recognized him as one of the outstanding attorneys in Nevada by selecting him as an AV rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell®, a Top 100 Lawyer in Nevada in the Nevada Business Magazine and a Super Lawyer in Mountain States Super Lawyers. He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation and his litigation career includes winning a $60,000,000 judgment for a client’s loss of its intellectual property rights. Mr. Kohl also represents and advises business owners in the creation, acquisition, and disposition of entities and real estate. He has been an arbitrator and mediator for the State Bar of Nevada Fee Dispute Committee since 2006 and an arbitrator for Nevada’s Court Annexed Arbitration Program since 2008. Mr. Kohl also acts as a private mediator and arbitrator. He holds a Nevada Real Estate Salesman’s License (inactive status). Since 1995, Mr. Kohl has been licensed to appear in all courts within the State of Nevada, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Kohl received a B.A. from Guilford College in 1988 and a J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law in 1995. He has been a member of the Las Vegas Rotary Club since 1996. Mr. Kohl’s Rotary service includes being named 25 Club President, as well as the Chairman of the Club’s Rotary Youth Leadership Award committee for 5 years.
