Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a leadership development program led by Rotary. Participants must be juniors in high school. RYLA is a three-day camp held every year in the spring and includes team activities and workshops that develop leadership skills and help the participants create life-long friendships. RYLA focuses on:
- Leadership fundamentals and ethics
- Communication skills
- Problem solving and conflict management
- Community and global citizenship
How can I participate in RYLA?
RYLA participants are nominated by local Rotary clubs. Our club usually nominates 16 students. Students seeking a nomination must complete an application and go through a series of interviews performed by members of our club.
For more information about RYLA, please contact our Vocational Chair, David Jones, at daj7@ntrs.com.
