David Jones works in Las Vegas as a Wealth Management Banking Advisor for The Northern Trust Company (based in Chicago) providing banking and financing advice and services to wealthy individuals and families. David has been a banker in Las Vegas for over 30 years. He holds a B.A. degree in English Literature and an M.B.A. degree from Brigham Young University. David has lived and been educated in Mexico, Israel, and England. David was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. A proud graduate of the original Las Vegas High School, he boasts of being a 3rd generation southern Nevadan—since 1895. David has been married to his wife, Sandi Taylor (also a native Las Vegan) for nearly 35 years. Together David and Sandi have three (3) married children: Sara, Johanna, and Taylor, and four (4) grandsons. David has spent much of his career giving back to the community in which he grew up. David plays an active role in the Las Vegas Rotary Club, founded in 1923. For many years David volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, Las Vegas Area Council; he was active member of Southern Nevada NAIOP (a commercial real estate trade organization); a UNLV Student Mentor; and he served on the UNLV Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies Executive Committee. David currently is an adjunct professor in UNLV’s Lee Business School, Economics Department teaching Real Estate Fundamentals, RE301. Currently, David is actively writing a book on some of the “untold stories” of Las Vegas’s birth and early history.
