Friends of Rotary
The Friends of Rotary is a group made up of significant others of current or former Rotarians, who may no longer be members but still wish to stay connected to the Las Vegas Rotary community. Friends of Rotary may also include certain community leaders. This association has no membership rights in the club. The intent is for the group to act as “Good Will Ambassadors to Rotary” and are encouraged to participate in certain Las Vegas Rotary club activities.
A designated Rotarian liaison meets with the group quarterly for lunch, fellowship, and to share updates on upcoming club events.
Friends of Rotary actively support club social activities, including events such as the Cigar Fellowship, St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Halloween party, and more. They also participate in club volunteer activities such as shoppers for Santa Clothes and Spread the Word Nevada programs, reading with the children at various schools.
The Friends ongoing “Signature Project” involves collecting personal hygiene items, which are donated to local organizations including Project 150, the USO, and the Salvation Army.
