Highway Clean-Up

In February 2013, the Las Vegas Rotary Club renewed our Adopt-A-Highway agreement with NDOT to maintain two miles of highway from mile marker 04.0 Eastbound to mile marker 06.0. Since that time, our members have remained dedicated to keeping this stretch of roadway clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

To this day, we proudly conduct highway cleanups along this two-mile stretch of SR159 (Red Rock Canyon Road) near the Bonnie Springs Ranch entrance, in partnership with the Nevada Department of Transportation.

Four times each year, our club members and their families gather on a Saturday morning to remove litter and help preserve the natural beauty of this highly traveled scenic corridor. This volunteer-driven initiative reflects Rotary’s commitment to environmental stewardship, community service, and civic pride, with approximately 12–15 volunteers participating at each cleanup. In accordance with NDOT regulations, anyone under the age of 12 is not permitted to participate. Volunteers are provided with orange safety vests, trash bags, gloves, and necessary tools.

Through hands-on service and strong community partnerships, the Las Vegas Rotary Club continues to make a visible and meaningful impact in Southern Nevada.
