Mayor's Cup international Soccer Tournament
The Mayor’s Cup serves both boys and girls and is held over one weekend in October and two weekends in February, with the largest tournament taking place annually over Presidents Day long weekend. The Mayor’s Cup brings together hundreds of teams from across the United States and around the world. Elite players compete on several fields throughout the Las Vegas Valley, with college and professional scouts in attendance. For many young athletes, the tournament serves as an early gateway to collegiate, professional and even Olympic opportunities. Beyond the fields, the Mayor’s Cup generate more than $60 million for the local Las Vegas economy.
Beyond competition, the Mayor’s Cup is about connection. It brings different cultures, playing styles and perspectives together on one global stage.

Las Vegas Rotary Club’s Support
Since 2006, the Las Vegas Rotary Club has played a vital role in the Mayor’s Cup by hosting international youth soccer teams in the homes of Rotarians and Friends of Rotary. What began as a simple introduction to the tournament has grown into a long standing partnership rooted in Rotary’s mission of service and global goodwill.
Over the years, the club has welcomed teams from Germany, France, Colombia and Russia, providing young athletes with far more than a place to stay. Host families serve as drivers, guides and cultural ambassadors, creating an experience that extends well beyond the soccer field.
The Las Vegas Rotary Club holds priority hosting for Borussia Monchengladbach, one of Germany’s premier professional soccer academies, when they participate. Hosting international teams transforms the tournament into a true cultural exchange, giving visiting players the opportunity to practice English, experience American family life and build life-long friendships.
Each year during Presidents Day weekend, the Las Vegas Rotary Club proudly participates in the Mayor’s Cup by hosting international teams as part of this annual event.
Become a Host Family
Each year, the Las Vegas Rotary Club invites local Rotarians to open their homes to international youth soccer players visiting Las Vegas for the Mayor’s Cup International Soccer Tournament. Host families provide a safe and welcoming home environment during the tournament and play an important role in supporting these young athletes both on and off the field.
Hosting players helps make international competition possible by offering players the opportunity to experience American family life, build friendships, practice English and feel supported while competing at an elite level. Families serve as ambassadors of goodwill and help create a meaningful cultural exchange that extends far beyond soccer.
Host families are typically Rotarians. However, properly vetted Friends of Rotary from the community may also be considered.
